No jargon. Now let us start our discussion about how to create hyperlinks in InDesign. For this, I will create a new document. Now go to the tool panel which is on the left side of the working screen and take the text tool from it. Now select this text content with the selection tool and after selection make right-click on it.

Once you make a right-click you will have a drop-down list. In the list, we have a Hyperlinks option so click on the New Hyperlink option of the new drop-down list of it. Below this option, we have the Destination option in which we can define the destination address where we want to redirect our reader through an inserted hyperlink. It is just an example. You can add your website location here, or any other destination as per your choice. At the bottom of this dialog box, we have some other options.

Such as PDF Appearance. Here in this option, you can choose how your hyperlinked font will look in your pdf of the designed document. And in the Highlight option, I will choose the Outline option. Once that is done, you are ready to add hyperlinks to shapes or whatever you need. In this instance, we are using shapes which are my tabs for my digital planner. Next, you can choose the type of link you need.
